My dad and I drove back to the 944 an hour ago, and it started right up again! Drove it home immediately and parked it so I can do some automotive sleuthing later. I will be preparing a “Thank You” card and more for the wonderful lady who drove me to work and watched the car for me while I was gone. ^_^

Glad to hear you were able to get the car home safe and sound. What lovely people for helping out. It is nice to hear that not everyone is an asshole. Hope you figure it out soon.

It just died while you were driving? Or was there a gradual loss of power?

Maybe the DME relay is going bad. I’d check that first. Its been known to cause a sudden cutoff and not restart afterwards. I think its also referred to as a power relay. Had same issue with a power relay on one of our Audi years ago. http://rennbay.com/DME-Relay-Info…

Hopefully the “and more” part are tasteful nudes.
It's only right for a good deed.

It is possible. That’s what was happening with my original DME, I’ve a spare one for backup, and replaced the original one when it crapped out on me last year. It’s hard to believe my newer one could go bad so soon.

How about just reseating some of the fuses. Kind of like what happened with the 911, is it possible some of the electrical connections are a little funky now? Its not a new car, just a thought.
The HEMIWagon’s PCM failed, and its barely 10 years old, so at this point, anything is game.
